This Privacy Policy applies however you may access or use the NCTA Digital Assets, whether via personal computers, mobile devices or otherwise.
By visiting or using the NCTA Digital Assets, you are accepting the practices described in our Privacy Policy and agree that we may collect, use, and disclose your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” means any information from or about you that personally identifies you, either directly or when combined with other information from or about you from any source. Personal information becomes “non-personal information” when it has been aggregated, summarized, excerpted, de-identified, or otherwise anonymized sufficiently such that it is no longer identifiable and cannot be re-identified using reasonable efforts, resources, and technology.

- Information about your use of the NCTA Digital Assets including details of your visits such as pages viewed and the resources that you access. Such information includes traffic data (such as time of access, date of access, software crash reports, session identification number, access times, and referring website addresses), location data, and other communication data.
- Information provided voluntarily by you, for example, when you register for information, sign up to receive email newsletters from us, and take part in online surveys.
- Information that you provide when you communicate with us by any means.
- Information that you post or share in public areas, such as feedback sections or message boards. Please note that when you post this information it becomes public and is no longer covered by this Privacy Policy. Please do not post in any public area personal information that you expect to keep private.
When you interact with NCTA on a social media platform, such as Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, or when you use your social media account or credentials to login to the NCTA Digital Assets, we may also collect the personal information that you make available to us on that page or through that account including your account ID or “handle.” Any information we receive from you through social media will be governed by this Privacy Policy. How Do We Use Cookies and Other Technologies?
Cookies provide information regarding the computer or other device used by a visitor. We may gather information about your general Internet use by using a cookie. Where used, these cookies are downloaded to your computer and stored on the computer’s hard drive. Such information will not identify you personally. It is statistical data. This statistical data does not identify any personal details whatsoever.

A web beacon is a small piece of software code on a web page or email that is programmed to collect non-personally identifiable information about your use of a given website or newsletter, e.g., whether you opened the email. Web beacons or similar technologies may be used for a number of purposes, including to count visitors to the NCTA Digital Assets, to monitor how users navigate the NCTA Digital Assets, to count how many emails from NCTA were actually opened, to count how many particular articles or links were actually viewed, or to advertise NCTA events and initiatives to you on our partner or third-party websites. To learn more about the use of this information or to opt out of our potential use of web beacons for NCTA events and initiatives, please visit the OptOut.AboutAds.info.
Some browsers have incorporated “Do Not Track” features. Most of these features, when turned on, send a signal or preference to the website or online service that a user visits to indicate that the user does not wish to be tracked. Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret Do Not Track signals, we do not currently respond to those signals. For more information regarding Do Not Track mechanisms, see allaboutdnt.com.
